Daily Bread Cambridge

Daily Bread Cambridge opened its doors to the public in December 1991. The warehouse at Unit 3 Kilmaine Close, King’s Hedges is now considered an enjoyable and unique shopping experience. When the unit was acquired it needed extensive refurbishment to make it fit for purpose. The building houses the warehouse, shop, packing area, offices and staff rest room under one roof, like the Daily Bread Northampton Old Laundry site. The Cambridge store also has a small coffee shop, which is very popular with customers.

The organisation defines itself as ‘not-for-profit’, choosing to employ more people rather than increase salaries. Like Daily Bread Northampton, Daily Bread Cambridge is a workers’ co-operative and there are no outside shareholders.
